Flip the computer onto its back with the front panel facing you. Slide the battery latch to the left and grip the battery edge. Lift the battery up and back to remove it from the computer. Use the Philips screw driver to remove the two screws in the bottom right corner that hold the battery cover in place.
Lift the left side of the battery cover and remove it from the laptop to expose the hard drive. Grip the plastic tab on the left side of the hard drive to disconnect the drive from the computer and remove the old hard drive from the hard drive bay.
Remove the four screws on the sides of the hard drive's case. Lift the frame off the hard drive and pull the connector off the hard drive.
